Description

The ProLink is Factor 55’s original shackle mount. Trusted and used by first responders worldwide, ProLink is easy to install and allows winch owners the ability to replace the vehicle’s winch hook with a stronger shackle/D-Ring mount. Engineered and machined in the USA from lightweight billet 6061 aluminum, ProLink doesn’t require splicing and is compatible with steel or synthetic ropes and both hawse and roller fairleads. The cable eye is retained in the ProLink by an ultra-strong aerospace-grade titanium doubleshear pin and internal snap ring, and is easily installed in minutes. The EPDM rubber guards protects alloy fairleads and is securely attached to the ProLink with four barbed tips and prevents rattling.

This product is compatible with Closed System Winching®, a technique that uses rigging comprised entirely of closed-link hardware. With Closed System Winching you get the extra security and confidence needed to tackle the most demanding winch recoveries. 

  • 5/8 inch diameter 6Al-4V titanium double shear pin and internal snap ring for an ultra-secure connection
  • EPDM rubber guards are attached with four barbed tips and protects fairleads and prevents rattling, also protects alloy fairleads and cushions line stowage
  • Precision machined from 6061-T6 Kaiser Aluminum round bar
  • 1.2 inch shackle tab thickness reduces “shackle rattle”
  • Works with steel or synthetic rope up to 3/8” diameter and eyes equipped with standard or tube thimbles up to 3/8” diameters.
  • The rope eye is retained in the ProLink with a 5/8”-diameter grade 6AI-4V grade V

We ran a prolink on the front of our ULTRA4 car for 3 years before upgrading to an Ultrahook. The Prolink is very practical and strong! Ours has been smashed on, dropped and drug through the rocks and dirt. Winched from it many times and when paired with a soft shackle it’s hard to beat!

Looks great, made from aircraft aluminum, hard to believe its as strong as they say it is because its incredibly lighter than I thought it would be. It cleans up the front of my fairlead; no more dangling hook attached to an adjacent D-Ring, just this nice looking shackle mount centered instead. I must add that the color I chose (green) is my favorite shade of green and the paint job is excellent. Its expensive but it gives you a more refined look on the front of your Jeep all the while maintaining the ruggedness. I'm deducting a star because I believe they should be selling these for a few bucks less.
