Factor 55's winch shackle mount line for military and industrial vehicles feature the same precision design and premium design as our standard shackle mounts, but also allow for higher maximum loads and larger-diameter winch line and shackle pins for the extra-large vehicles and heavy loads common in military and industrial applications.
Some of the military/industrial products can be had in special XXL sizes for these larger vehicles. This includes the FlatLink XXL and the Prolink XXL. The extra, extra, large winch line shackle mounts are great for 24,000 lb. or 26,000 lb. winch applications.
Trusted and used by first responders and towing companies worldwide, ProLink Bridle is easy to install and allows winch owners the ability to replace the vehicle’s winch hook with a stronger shackle/D-Ring mount. The three individual shackle mounting holes allow the winch operator to mount fixed length bridle links to the outside positioned holes for common bridle towing, as well as a single centered shackle mounting point for a conventional single shackle recovery point. Dedicated shackle mounting points prevent dangerous shackle side loading conditions due to the pivoting feature of the shackle pin mounting hole.
Engineered and machined in the USA from lightweight billet 6061 aluminum, ProLink doesn’t require splicing and is compatible with steel or synthetic ropes and both hawse and roller fairleads. The cable eye is retained in the ProLink by an ultra-strong aerospace-grade titanium double-shear pin and internal snap ring, and is easily installed in minutes. The EPDM rubber guards protects alloy fairleads and is securely attached to the ProLink with four barbed tips and prevents rattling.
Additionally, our FlatLink E (Export) and UltraHook are common on fire/rescue vehicles such as brush trucks, tow trucks, and other hard-working vehicles. Factor 55 is committed to providing the best winch line shackle mounts to our hard-working members of the military as well as workers across the globe.
Closed System Winching™ is a technique that uses rigging comprised entirely of closed-link hardware. The result is the most secure and reliable winch rigging available.
In Closed System Winching, the traditional hook is upgraded to a patented Factor 55 ProLink®, FlatLink®, or UltraHook® winch line shackle mount. When combined with a shackle, you’ll have an attachment that will contain loads even during momentary slack conditions where winch loads may shift. With Closed System Winching you get the extra security and confidence needed to tackle the most demanding winch recoveries.
